The 2015 Volkswagen CC is sporty and sleek, and although it offers a leather interior and a smooth ride, it’s still a relatively affordable midsize sedan. But how does it compare to other models on the market?

To find out, our team at The Norm Reeves Volkswagen Superstore in Irvine put the CC up against volkswagen vehicle comparisons irvine, cathe 2015 Hyundai Sonata and compared them side by side, analyzing their interior design, exterior styling, and available safety features.

Interior Design

The CC’s sport-inspired seating is strikingly different from the Sonata’s traditional bucket seats. And while they both seat up to five passengers, only the CC lets three of them charge their phones at the same time with its in-vehicle outlets. The Sonata, on the other hand, only has two.

There’s front and rear map lighting in the Volkswagen along with illuminating v

anity mirrors for both the driver and front passenger. Steering wheel–mounted controls allow you to operate a number of features without taking your hands off the wheel, and the auto-dimming rearview mirror helps soften trailing headlights.

In both vehicles, we found adjustable head restraints in the front and back seats along with Bluetooth access for hands-free phone capability. For additional storage space, both the CC and the Sonata have a lifting armrest for cupholders and storing personal items.

Exterior Design

The 2015 Volkswagen CC offers exterior light control th

at the driver can program. The Hyundai Sonata, however, has automatic exterior lighting. The Sonata also has a refined exterior design, whereas the CC looks a bit sportier.

Not surprisingly, the CC is sporty, with a six-speed transmission and 200 horsepower at 5,100 RPM. The Sonata caps out at just 185 horsepower at 6,000 RPM. Both cars have keyless entry and front fog lamps for improved visibility.

Safety Features

The Volkswagen CC and the Hyundai Sonata provide driver and passenger airbags on both sides as well as seat-mounted and side-curtain protection. Each vehicle has at least five airbags in total. The Volkswagen CC also has a theft-deterrent alarm system and a theft-deterrent radio to help p

rotect your property.

Should you ever get lost or need directions quickly, each car has an integrated navigation system. And once you arrive, the CC comes with front and rear parking sensors to help you navigate into tight spots. For additional protection, side impact beams have been installed in the Volkswagen CC to help protect passengers during a collision.
